Just to get your vintage fill for the week – a photo from sometime in the 1800s or early 1900s of the Cathedral in Lima’s Plaza de Armas (an UNESCO Heritage Site). The main square has changed in looks over the years, but the fountain has remained! Here is another photo of the Cathedral and square today. Notice anything missing? All the tall buildings that modernization has brought! There used to be a time when the church or cathedral was the tallest building around.
